1961 Rolex Submariner 5512 Chapter Ring Pointed Crown Guard
Brand: ROLEX
Dial: Rare 2-line Gilt dial with chapter ring
Case: 40mm Stainless steel
Serial: 693,xxx
Movement: cal. 1560, automatic
Bracelet: 7206 rivet bracelets, Swiss deployant clasp stamped 2.61
The present timepiece is a very rare and stunning example of an early reference 5512. It has an extremely strong and sharp "Pointed Crown Guards" case, factory-original bevels still seen on the lugs. Fitted with a nearly perfectly preserved 2-liner dial, still black & glossy with just a few speck of dusts inside, soft patinated luminous still glow under the UV.
Comes with a "like new" long 5 submariner inlay, completed with it's original and well preserved Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet stamped 2.61. This watch most likely spent the past half century sitting unused in a drawer rather than on the wrist.
Early 693k serial number dates the watch to the correct 1961 period.
